Missing In Action...
It's been over a month since I last blogged, and I've been told by my good friend Deanna that it's totally unacceptable! ;-) So, here I finally am! So much has occurred in my life in the past 6 weeks that I feel 10 years older! Some of it is too personal to "put out there" right now, so I'll stick to some safer subjects.
School started this week, and our lives have been in a total whirlwind! Dylan is in 6th grade this year (his last year of elementary school), and switches classes 5 times during the day. He tends to be a bit disorganized so I'm really hoping that the constant moving around won't affect his work/grades. He had a hard time staying organized LAST year, and he stayed in the same room all day! Time will tell, I suppose. Here's a picture of him and Brady on his first day (Brady loves Dylan's spikey hair):
Speaking of Brady, he is growing by leaps and bounds! He is almost 18 lbs. now, and will be 8 mos. old on Aug. 31st! WHERE has the time gone? He is learning new things daily and keeps us entertained 24/7! He's such an easygoing, happy, content baby...a total joy to be around! 99% of the time, this is his persoanlity:
Due to a lack of time and money, we didn't take our anual trip to Universal this year. Instead, my mom, my aunt, and I took Dylan, Brady, and my nephew Christopher to the Nickolodeon Hotel in Orlando for the weekend. The kids had a good time (which was the purpose of the trip), but the hotel was not adult-friendly at all! There is absolutely nothing to do if you're an adult, the hotel is noisy, and the decor is shabby and outdated. The fact that it rained most of the time we were there didn't help, either...both swim parks were closed, and all the other activities cost additional money. The kids spent a lot of time (and we spent a lot of MONEY) in the arcade!! We had orig. planned to stay 2 nights, but left after 1. The kids enjoyed themselves but even THEY weren't upset about leaving (in 24 hours, they had done pretty much all there was to do)!
